NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF SOCIAL JETLAG IN NURSES

Circadian rhythms play a critical role in the regulation of homeostasis, social jet lag may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, depression, cognitive decline. To improve sleep quality and prevent emotional burnout it is advisable to keep diaries of the quality and duration of sleep, study specific chronotypes of individual nurses, teach them psychological practices, organize rest rooms, which will increase the efficiency of performing professional duties.
