Автор статьи побывал в Мозамбике, провел беседы и взял интервью у ряда лидеров правящей партии ФРЕЛИМО. Он пришел к выводу, что первый президент страны Машел принадлежал к генерации революционных романтиков. Это поколение марксистов-романтиков идеально справилось с\r\nзадачей разрушения колониального строя. Но для фазы созидательной работы нужны были лидеры другого, более прагматичного склада.

Rejection of Marxism by the Leadership of Mozambique: Causes and Consequences

The author of this article visited Mozambique and had conversations and interviews with a number of leaders of the ruling party FRELIMO. He came to a conclusion that the country's first president, Samora Machel, belonged to a generation of revolutionary romantics. That generation of Marxist romantics perfectly coped with the task of destroying the colonial system. The phase of constructive work, however, called for leaders of a different, more pragmatic kind.
