Jordanian Novel in the Light of the World Literary Process of the Twentieth Century

This article is devoted to the national specifics of Jordanian novel, its formation and development. Special attention is given to theoretical aspects of novel's genre in the works of Russian and foreign literary scholars and critics. The article describes the main types of novelistic genre (psychological, autobiographical, social, political, didactic, and mythological) on the example of creativity leading prose writers of the twentieth century literature of Jordan.
