The Role of Mediation in the Constructive Settlement of a Conflict

The article studies the place and the role of mediation as effective method of managing social conflicts on the stage of their settlement. The article gives the analytical description of mediation, its main functions and principles. A special attention is paid to the role of mediator on all stages of coming to a mutually acceptable decision.
