In this article, the author examines the basic objective tendencies, trends and perspectives of present-day globalization process, their correlation and contradictory character. The role of modern information technology as one of the main globalization stimulus and motiv force is underlined. He notes that the change of communication forms can entail the change of thinking type and the origin of new civilization formes.
