The Analysis of a Beam on an Elastic-Plastic Base

In this article is considered a rigid beam, loaded by an invariable vertical load N. The loaded is mobile along the whole length of the beam. A contact model of the base, known in the linear-elastic variant as the Vinkler's model is used for the description of the interaction between the beam and the elastic-plastic base. But this present model considers the different laws of deformation of soil under the loading and the unloading.
