On the impact of social factors on the present-day Spanish language in Spain

The article poses the problem of a new research trend in the Spanish language studies, that is, the impact of social factors on the development and functioning of the Spanish language in Spain. The author considers a few socially conditioned changes in the present day Spanish language in the former metropolis.
