The 2 % lidocaine hydrochloride at the doses 1—2 mg per kg provides adequate analgesia of a tail, perineum, sacrum and the caudal part of loins and pelvis extremities. The medication can be administered at the doses of 2—3 and 3,0, 3,5 mg per kg. The dose of 4— 5 mg per kg is excessive for surgical operations on organs of an abdominal cavity.
