Impact of the structural changes in population and of the current demographic policy on mortality

The article examines the preconditions for increasing the length of life of the Russian population, analyses the age-specific character of mortality, shows the death causes affecting the dynamics of length of life, discusses prospective effects of the measures for reduction of mortality executed within the National Project "Health".
