The Earthquake Protection of Buildings with Elasto-Plastic Cutting-Off Ties

Two versions of the adaptive earthquake protection of buildings are examined. The first version uses brittles cutting-off ties. The second one resorts to elastoplastic cutting-off ties. The analysis of the building dynamic model using the first version of the earthquake protection for the real earthquake accelerogram with replacing of the brittle ties by elasto-plastic cutting-off ties is made. The analysis of obtained design results is also given.
