International road traffic safety is in the center of attention

The article is devoted to the outcome of the 7 ^th International conference «Transport unites: the role of road transport in the integration and development in Eurasia» (March 16, 2010). It has been determined to what extent the maintenance of road traffic safety can be a subject of international treaties and to what extent it concerns "personal" responsibilities of the autocarrier. The analysis is made with dues account of the coming into force of the Lisbon Treaty of 2007 and a prospective accession to WTO of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.
