ECOLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES OF THE WORLD OCEAN ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE BALTIC SEA

This article focuses on the issue of rational consumption of the world's biological resources in the oceans. Using the example of the Baltic Sea, we calculate the ecological and economic damage according to established methodologies in order to better understand the extent of human impact on marine ecosystems. The importance of responsible stewardship for marine biological resources and marine ecosystems as a whole is clear. Preserving ocean biodiversity and sustainable use of marine resources is essential to ensure prosperity not only for the current generation, but also for future generations.
