THE USE OF ADSORPTION MATERIALS FOR THE ELIMINATION OF SPILLS IN THE ARCTIC

An analysis of several types of sorbents was made. As a result, it was revealed that the usage of organic sorbents is the most effective way to localize and eliminate oil spills in Arctic waters. It has a number of advantages in comparison with synthetic sorbents. Among them: the ability of the biological decomposition of absorbed carbohydrates during storage of the adsorbed mass, reducing its degree of contamination; do not have re-contamination; after the expiration date, they can be used in agriculture, horticulture, and horticulture.
