Environmental risks of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation

The Arctic is one of the most fragile ecosystems on our planet. Due to its natural and geographical features, the environmental problems of the Arctic pose a high threat to the entire planet, potentially growing from regional to global. The article presents a study of environmental risks of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. On the basis of literary and cartographic data the zones of ecological risks are made up. The results of the study are presented in the form of a map, which shows the main risks of environmental problems, such as oil spill, radiation, electromagnetic radiation and harmful substances.
