Weeds cause great harm to agriculture. They worsen the living conditions of cultivated plants by absorbing soil moisture, nutrients, shading and mechanically depressing crops. Some weeds form powerful vegetative organs and shade cultivated plants. Climbing weeds (field bindweed, mountain bindweed) wrap around the stems of cultivated plants, exert mechanical pressure and cause lodging of crops. This leads to a sharp decrease in yield and product quality, and makes harvesting more difficult. The study of the species composition and harmfulness of weeds in certain areas makes it possible to justify the protection system. In this work, the agrocenoses of the Border region and Primorsky Krai will be considered.
