CALCULATION OF THE VEGETATION INDEX (NDVI) TO ANALYZE THE VEGETATION COVER OF THE URBANIZED TERRITORY OF BELGOROD

This article analyzes the vegetation cover of the Belgorod urban area using the NDVI vegetation index. NDVI calculations were performed based on satellite data, which made it possible to assess the degree of landscaping the studied area. By processing the data obtained, the total area of vegetation was determined, which allows us to draw conclusions about the state of the ecosystem of the urban area and its changes over time. The results obtained can be used for more effective planning and management of the urban green zone, as well as for monitoring environmental changes in the urban environment.
