POLLUTION OF WATER RECOURSES: THE BIGGEST ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM OF NIZHNY NOVGOROD REGION

Nizhny Novgorod is a city that stands on a confluence of the Oka and Volga River. For many years people have been constantly consuming potable water from the largest river in Russia which has led to the appearance of heavily polluted areas and poor environmental conditions. This article is devoted to the analysis of water pollution indicators and provides proofs that water pollution remains the biggest environmental issue for Nizhny Novgorod.
