This article investigates experimental architectural and engineering principles of formation of habitable space for long-term stay on the Earth's satellite, applied in the project of lunar research station. Designing a manned base in such a cramped, long space was definitely an archi-tectural and technological challenge requiring fundamentally new and bold structural and engineering solutions. At the beginning, a detailed catalog of the most significant problems formed primarily by the complex environmental conditions on the Moon was formulated. The limitations associated with the al-ready existing, gradually outdated technologies were also considered. And subsequently, as a solution to the set problems, the authors of this article cite and describe in detail a new promising architectural and engineering technology space concrete or StarCrete. This type of composite consists of lunar dust, starch and salt, and by its strength characteristics significantly exceeds the qualities of ordinary terrestrial concrete. It is much easier to deliver the necessary salt for its synthesis than ready-made structures.
