«ПОВТОРНОЕ ИСПОЛЬЗОВАНИЕ МОДИФИЦИРОВАННОЙ РЕЗИНЫ ДЛЯ ГРУНТОВЫХ ШИН В КАЧЕСТВЕ ТЕПЛО- И ЗВУКОИЗОЛЯЦИИ В ГРАЖДАНСКОМ СТРОИТЕЛЬСТВЕ»

The aim of the manuscript is the implementation of an innovative elastomeric composite material with acoustical and thermal insulation for application in the construction and civil engineering fields. The main raw material used for this work was ground tire rubber. Two ranges of particle sizes (2-3 mm and 5-7 mm) were considered for the study. A high-viscosity polyurethane resin, with a content of 5%, was used as a binder. The high viscosity of the resin confers an adequate structure to the compound. To produce the compounds, both components were mixed in proportions 95% of ground tire rubber and 5% of polyurethane resin and in some of them a mat constituted by the tire fibers was included. During the 24 experiments, data was collected and analyzed for two different insulation measures. Based on these results, a mathematical model was created. The key factors that influence the studied insulation properties were identified as layer thickness, density, the presence of a mat, and particle size. The highest levels of sound insulation and thermal insulation have been achieved with materials that have a low density and a high number of pores. The use of a mat with smaller particles of rubber has also been shown to be beneficial. The thickness of the finished product can vary depending on consumers' preferences for sound or thermal insulation, but it has been determined that a certain thickness is optimal for both types of insulation.
