«Землячество» в языках студентов РУДН

Российский университет дружбы народов на протяжении многих лет объединяет студентов более чем из 160 стран мира. Одной из уникальных особенностей жизни иностранных студентов в Университете становится участие в жизни «землячеств» - объединений студентов из одной страны. В докладе рассматриваются особенности перевода слова «землячество» на родные языки студентов РУДН. Для исследования были собраны данные, демонстрирующие особенности восприятия понятия «землячество» в различных лингвокультурах. Так, если в русском языке слово «землячество» восходит к слову «земля», то есть обозначает сообщество людей, родившихся на одной земле, то в других языках мотивирующей основой становятся такие слова как «брат», «дружба», «общность», «родина», «ассоциация» и другие. Также предложена классификация названий землячеств на основе внутренней формы слова. В работе были использованы методы эмпирического исследования.

For many years, the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia has been bringing together students from more than 160 countries around the world. One of the unique features of the life of foreign students at the University is the participation in the life of "fellow countrymen" - associations of students from the same country. The paper examines the peculiarities of translating the word "fraternity" into the native languages of RUDN students. For the study, data were collected demonstrating the peculiarities of the perception of the concept of "community" in various linguistic cultures. So, if in Russian the word "community" goes back to the word "earth", that is, it means a community of people born on the same land, then in other languages words such as "brother", "friendship", "community", "homeland", "association" and others become the motivating basis. A classification of the names of communities based on the internal form of the word is also proposed. The methods of empirical research were used in the work.
