В статье рассматривается правовое положение цыган в различных странах Европы; анализируется такое явление, как антицыганизм - комплексная система стереотипов, предубеждений, установок и поведения, направленных против цыган, ставшее составляющей частью культуры европейских стран (от дискриминации цыган в доступе к правам до попыток стереть их с лица земли).

Gypsy Question in Europe: the Status and Rights of Gypsies

The article examines the legal status of Gypsies in various European countries. The phenomenon of antigypsism is analyzed; it is a complex system of stereotypes, prejudices, attitudes and behavior, directed against Gypsies which has become a part of the culture of European countries (from discrimination of Gypsies in access to rights to attempts to wipe them off the face of the earth).
