PRECEDENT TEXTS AND THEIR TRANSFORMATION IN HEADLINES OF CONTEMPORARY RUSSIAN MEDIA

The article analyzes the extensive use of precedent texts in headlines of modern journalistic texts. The research discusses a long literary tradition of pecedent headings. Different ways of transformation in precedent texts as a means of expression are also discussed.
