This article examines the Albanian government's support for small businesses, highlighting the historical context and philosophical basis. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are essential for economic growth but face challenges such as limited access to finance and skills development. The paper reviews current policies-such as financial aid, regulatory reforms, and capacity-building programs-while identifying barriers and opportunities for improvement. By analyzing international best practices and advocating for stronger stakeholder engagement, the study aims to inform policies that enhance Albania's entrepreneurial landscape.
