THE EFFECT OF PROGESTERONE ANTAGONISTS ON THE EFFICACY AND DURATION OF REMISSION OF UTERINE FIBROIDS AFTER SURGICAL TREATMENT

Myoma of the uterus is the most common benign monoclonal tumor of the smooth muscle cells of the myometrium. Treatment:organ preserving surgery, drug treatment. But the risk of relapse rises after surgery. In the study, we evaluate the effectiveness of mifepristone within 3 months after surgical treatment of fibroids and the possibility of relapses within a year after its withdrawal. Results:no relapses after 1 year. Mifepristone can be recommended in the postoperative period to prevent relapse.
