В данной статье подробно рассматриваются актуальность проблемы депрессивных расстройств в современном мире, недостатки и ограничения доступных ныне антидепрессантов (АД), теоретические основания для изучения карипразина в контексте лечения депрессий, а затем - имеющаяся доказательная база для применения карипразина в лечении униполярных депрессивных расстройств в качестве аугментации АД.

This article examines in detail the importance of depressive disorders in the modern world, the shortcomings and limitations of currently available antidepressants, the theoretical basis for studying cariprazine in the context of treating depression. Then we thoroughly review the available evidence base for the use of cariprazine in the treatment of both bipolar and unipolar depressive disorders, both as an monotherapy and as an antidepressant augmentation.
