STAGES OF FORMATION OF THE SOVIET TANK SCHOOL IN THE PRE-WAR PERIOD

The article is devoted to the history of the development of the Soviet tank industry in the period 1920 - 1941. Based on the analysis of sources and modern historiography, both well-known projects and those that have not received wide scientific coverage are considered. Based on the collected information, a periodization of the history of pre-war tank building is proposed.
