MAYAKOVSKI'S ATHEISM AS FORM OF FIGHTING WITH ETERNAL HUMAN VICES

Vladimir Mayakovski was a figure that continued to attract researchers and scientists all over the world. His poems and his personality were known by all the world, and this determined many stereotypes about Mayakovski. What is known about this poet? He was a destroyer of old world and wrote poems with “teared” rhythm and his main theme was socialism's creating better future and life without social problems. Mayakovski was against religion because he thought that it was “opium for nation” and hindered to increase human's life level. Several people can say that Mayakovski's atheistic views confirms chapter “Exam” in Mayakovski's autobiography “I myself”: “Moved. From Bagdad to Kutaisi. Exam in gymnasia. Passed. Asked about anchor (on my sleeve) - I knew well. But the priest asked - what “oko” was. I answered: “Three pounds” (such was in Georgian). Courteous examiners explained me that “oko” was “eye” on ancient, Church-Slavic. Through it I nearly failed. Therefore, I hated immediately all ancient, all ecclesiastical, and all Slavic. Maybe, from this came my futurism, and my atheism, and my internationalism”.
