Annotation. This review presents epidemiological data on tooth loss in the population, as well as the results of comparative studies evaluating the osseointegration of dental implants in healthy individuals and in the presence of concomitant endocrine pathologies (diabetes mellitus and thyroid diseases). The analysis of domestic and foreign literature is presented, which is devoted to the use of chondroitin sulfate in order to increase the effectiveness of dental implantation. The work on improving the prognosis of dental implantation when using various preparations to cover the surface of implants, including using chondroitin sulfate, is described. The effect of chondroitin sulfate on various processes in the human body is described. The authors’ studies on the use of different forms of chondroitin sulfate in the treatment of patients are also described. The advantages and disadvantages of using chondroitin sulfate in medical practice are shown. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
