ADVANTAGES OF PRODUCT QUALITY MANAGEMENT BASED ON CORPORATE INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR THE GROWTH OF THE AI ECONOMY

This paper elaborates on the role and advantages of corporate information systems in product quality management, from the position of their influence on the development of the AI economy to their support for other economic benefits. According to this, stages of development of the concepts of quality management in the interconnection with the evolution of corporate information systems are considered, and the influence of digital technologies, in particular, AI, on these processes are analysed. The key directions of the influence of corporate information systems of quality management based on AI on the development of the AI economy are studied. They include stimulation of investments, data generation for training AI systems, creation of new jobs, and development of innovations. Examples of the leading companies are used to demonstrate how the implementation of AI in quality management facilitates the formation of ecosystems that stimulate the development of the AI market and adjacent technologies market. The methodological basis of the research is formed by the multidisciplinary and system approaches, which allow combining theoretical and conceptual views of the research problem, which are realised in different scientific spheres: information theory, digital transformation, quality management, theory of organisation, and economic theory. The research methodology is partially disclosed from the position of the concept of Quality 4.0 and the theory of general purpose technologies, which define the main perspectives and advantages of the mutual development of quality management systems and the AI economy. To substantiate the theoretical and check the empirical conclusions of the work, we use the general scientific methodological apparatus, which includes analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalisation, and table and graphical methods. The main value of the paper lies in revealing the interconnection between the development of corporate information systems of quality management based on AI and the growth of the AI economy and determining the promising directions of implementing AI in the system of quality management to raise the effectiveness of business and stimulation of innovations. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
