NOTES ON PARAGUAY PLACE NAMES

This article focuses on Paraguayan place names that are analyzed at the intersection of such disciplines as history, geography, linguistics. The authors offer the classification of Paraguayan place names, highlight their historic, structural and semantic peculiarities. A special attention is paid to toponyms of the Guarani Language origin.
