The article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiar synthesis of both socio-historical and cultural projects in Colombia, of its special status in terms of the domination of Spanish language and culture along with the existence of large number of indigenous groups that continue today speak their ancestral languages, thus preserving their autochthonous culture. According to the basic idea, cultural identity of Colombia is reflected primarily in the dialectics of unity and struggle of these two linguistic and cultural paradigms
