Periods of penetration of Greek borrowings into the Russian language

The article describes the main periods of penetration of Greek borrowed words into the Russian language. The available classifications of borrowing periods are presented, as well as the author`s. The author considers the thematic groups of the Greek borrowed words, which came to the Russian language in each of the periods of borrowing.
