СЕМАНТИЧЕСКИЕ ОСОБЕННОСТИ ЯЗЫКОВЫХ ЕДИНИЦ С КОМПОНЕНТОМ ПИЩИ В КОЛУМБИЙСКОМ НАЦИОНАЛЬНОМ ВАРИАНТЕ ИСПАНСКОГО ЯЗЫКА

В статье рассматривается взаимодействие языка и культуры на примере языковых единиц разного типа с компонентом пищи в колумбийском национальном варианте испанского языка. Особое внимание уделяется семантическим особенностям лексем и фразеологических единиц в диалекте пайса, характеризующих быт и культуру колумбийцев, проживающих в регионах Кофейной Оси.

SEMANTIC FEATURES OF LANGUAGE UNITS WITH THE SEMANTIC COMPONENT ‘FOOD’ IN THE COLOMBIAN NATIONAL VARIATION OF SPANISH

The article deals with the symbiotic relationship between language and culture. It is aimed at describing various types of language units that include a semantic component of‘food’in the Colombian national variation of Spanish. Special attention is paid to lexical and phraseological units of the paisa dialect which characterizes the life and culture of the inhabitants of the Coffee Axis region. The research is carried out by implementing semantic analysis of the aforementioned lexical and phraseological units collected through examinations of dictionaries of different types and text corpora, as well as surveying Colombian native speakers. As a result, we have identified the most important culturally boundfood concepts ofthe Coffee Axis territory ofColombia. These are Indian corn (maize), potato, baked goods and coffee, the latter from which the studied region is named. The results of the research can be applied in academic study connected with intercultural communication to prevent and overcome possible communicative difficulties and failures. The deduction brought forth by the analysis in this article posits that it is necessary to continue studying the nutritional code of Colombia for the reason that different parts of the country have their own food concepts which greatly influence its linguistic worldview, and thus, the language of its inhabitants.
