On Variational Symmetries and Conservation Laws of a Fifth-order Partial Differential Equation

In the paper, we obtain conservation laws for a fifth-order partial differential equation. For this purpose, a necessary and sufficient condition of the indirect representability of the considered equation in the form of Lagrange equation is obtained, the corresponding functional (Hamilton action) is constructed and its invariant properties are investigated.
