Fog computing systems can solve many problems that clouds cannot effectively deal with, such as providing real-time analysis and local management capabilities, connecting and protecting powerful devices with limited network penetration, bandwidth, and availability. In this work, we develop the probabilistic model with three types of nodes that describe the task service process on mobile devices, the fog node and the remote cloud. Taking into account the heterogeneity in the processing volumes of mobile computing tasks, we present the analytical framework to analyze the response time characteristics of the model.
