TRANSBOUNDARY RIVER BASIN EUPHRATES-TIGRIS: INTERNATIONAL LEGAL REGULATION

Countries around the world have shown a great level of interest to regulate the use of international watercourses for non-navigational purposes, as they are of interest to human society. This is to prevent problems that may occur from the use objectives of international water bodies, such as rivers and streams. In order to clearly cover the legitimate usage of international watercourses, this study examines a specific scope, which is confined to; regulations concerning the utilization of international water channels to successfully resolve international water disputes. It also presents an outline of transboundary water interactions in the Euphrates-Tigris River basin, followed by an examination of significant issues.
