Conception of Professionalism and Professional Duty of Sociologist

One of the main characteristics of the moral countenance of a personality is professionalism and attitude to work. Modern ethical literature defines a professional as a person who has not only mastered a certain profession but has also succeeded in it. Professionalism comprises the aspect of morals that consists of the realization by a professional of his/her professional duty. Giving a definition to the term professional duty of a sociologist one should take into consideration a triple circle of problems: sociologist's responsibility to his/her colleagues, to the clients and respondents.
