ZOOPLANKTON AS A COMPONENT OF THE CARBON BIOLOGICAL PUMP ON THE EXAMPLE OF ITS DYNAMICS IN BLUE BAY

The article focuses on the studies of coastal zooplankton that were carried out in the Blue Bay of the Black Sea for eight months (January- August) in 2021 and 2022. Seasonal dynamics of changes in taxonomic composition and indicators of specific consumption of phytoplankton by zooplankton did not show significant interannual differences. Quantitative indicators of coastal zooplankton, as well as the role of taxonomic groups and species in the total abundance and biomass of zooplankton had interannual differences.
