DIGITAL WASTE AND ITS IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

This article deals with the problem of the spread of digital waste and its impact on the environment. Using gadgets, people do not think they pollute the environment in this way. The reason is that a large number of files are stored on cloud servers, which consume a huge amount of energy, thereby contributing to the growth of the carbon footprint. The article provides quantitative data reflecting the level of use of digital space. This article does not call for a complete abandonment of the use of gadgets, because this is not only unwise, but also impossible. However, here are ways to reduce digital waste and limit content consumption that each of us can use in order not to cause great damage to the environment.
