RESOURCES AND TYPES OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY. DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS IN RUSSIA

This paper analyses the Russian approach to the utilisation of a range of alternative energy sources. The paper demonstrates that Russia places considerable emphasis on the assessment of its biomass resources. It can thus be concluded that the recycling of secondary raw materials as a source of alternative energy represents a significant opportunity, particularly in light of its potential to enhance the quality of life of the population and reduce the quantity of waste produced.
