IMPACT OF EMISSIONS FROM BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT FACILITIES ON POPULATION HEALTH

The article examines the impact of emissions from biological treatment facilities (BTF) of wastewater on the health of the population located nearby. An analysis of six substances was conducted, which were ranked by the total contribution to the gross emission. The results show that high concentrations of these substances can cause respiratory diseases, chronic diseases and other negative health effects. As a result, the need for regular monitoring of pollutant emissions and the development of effective measures to protect the health of citizens located near biological treatment facilities is revealed.
