The predatory mite Neoseiulus reductus is widespread in Europe in temperate countries. It lives on berry crops, including black currants, where it is a natural predator of eriophiid and spider mites. In the territories of the Moscow and Orenburg regions, a search was carried out and the main biological features of feeding on the currant leaf mite Anthocoptes ribis were studied. The biotic potential when feeding on currant leaf mites is 0.170. The sensitivity of the predatory mite to the main pesticides used in protected ground was assessed. 3 groups of pesticides have been established according to the degree of danger to predatory mites. Dangerous include Fitoverm, EC (aversectin), Admiral, EC (pyriproxifen). Moderately dangerous is Actara, WDG (thiamethoxam). Less dangerous are Confidor Extra, WDG (imidacloprid), Mospilan, PS (acetamiprid), Vertimec EC (abamectin).
