Russia and Iran: the Problem of Strategic Partnership

The article examines the key trends of the development of relations between Iran and Russia in the beginning of the XXI century. On the basis of the identified historical phenomenon of parallelism and political development cycles the author analyzes the challenges and possible ways to create a Russian-Iranian strategic partnership.
