USING NDVI VALUE AS AN INDICATOR OF DESERTIFICATION IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

This work was carried out by using the available literature and cartographic sources that allowed the author to identify the area most susceptible to desertification in Kazakhstan, as well as to monitor the difference in the vegetation index values. The paper shows the relationship between climate processes and the degree of land degradation, which is an important step to understand the mechanism of desertification and is a capacity to deal with it.
