Феномен независимых кандидатов в президентских выборах в США

Актуальность и значимость статьи обусловлены ростом популярности независимых, несистемных политиков на Западе. В статье подробно рассматривается история выступлений независимых кандидатов и кандидатов от третьих партий на президентских выборах в США с акцентом на феномене Р. Кеннеди-младшего, представляющего особый интерес в избирательной кампании 2024 г. Делается вывод, что независимые кандидаты и кандидаты от третьих партий периодически влияли на президентские выборы, что подтверждают результаты историографического обзора, а также фактор Р. Кеннеди в минувшей президентской гонке.

The relevance and significance of the article are due to the growing popularity of independent, non-systemic politicians in the West. The article examines in detail the history of performances by independent candidates and candidates from third parties in the US presidential election, with an emphasis on the phenomenon of R. Kennedy Jr., which is of particular interest in the 2024 election campaign. It is concluded that independent candidates and candidates from third parties periodically influenced the presidential election, which is confirmed by the results of a historiographical review, as well as the factor of R. Kennedy in the last presidential race.
