В статье приведены ключевые характеристики природного явления «вечная мерзлота», а также проблемы строительства зданий в условиях вечной мерзлоты и пути их решения.

PROBLEMS OF BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION WORK ON PERMAFROST

While domesticating the territories occupied by permafrost, people face a lot of difficulties. Areas under permafrost have lots of various natural resources ( gas, oil, coal, diamonds, gold, nickel, copper, tin, mineral fertilizers, freshwater, forests). Permafrost is the main feature of nature in the North. Approximately 65 percent of territory in Russia contains permafrost. People need to be aware of this natural phenomenon for the possibility of using it.
