Instanton solutions in the anisotropic σ-model

A nonlinear anisotropic σ-model is proposed in two-dimensional euclidean space. It is shown that the given model admits multi-(anti)instanton solutions. The solution is obtained in explicit form and its relation with that of an anisotropic model is established. An immediate generalization in three-dimensions is discussed. © 1982.
