THE CHANGING FACE OF GLOBAL JOURNALISM: A CASE-LAW IN EAST AFRICA

The Article highlights the proceedings of the Burundi Union of Journalists case against the government of Burundi on infringement of their rights in the media under the East African Treaty following the adoption of a new press law. The court's ruling favors the applicants in some provisions. The article also compares the freedom of press in other African countries.
