Harmonisation of international private law is an important process that many scholars are currently interested in. This article will analyze its roles in the development of society. In the first part, we will be looking at different conceptions of harmonisation of international private law. The second part looks at the role of harmonisation of international private law in the development in international private law and in the development of society. The Article provides concrete examples to demonstrate the importance of harmonization of law.
