DIFFICULTIES IN TRANSLATING PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS FROM «MISERY» BY ST. KING

In today's globalised world many people devote their attention to literature and the unique features of literary idiomatic style. The horror stories of Stephen King contain a plethora of peculiar phraseological units which are of interest for study and translation. The current paper discusses the methods of translation while translating the book into Russian. The novelty of the research is directly related to the study of Stephen King's novel “Misery”, describing it from a new perspective of phraseological units' usage and outlining main principles of translation. The aim of this study is to observe the key methods for translating Stephen King's discourse. This research distinguishes itself through the development of advanced algorithms that help to understand and translate Stephen King's mystical and psychological narrative. According to the resalts of the study, the dominant translation transformations in the discourse have been revealed.
